5 highlights of the refreshed Ford Ranger

Ford’s built-tough image has come back with a bolder appearance in addition to getting smarter features.

1) Bold and tough

The new facelift for the Ford Ranger has the rugged appeal with the new chrome grille design and muscular lines of the hood.

2) Efficient and powerful engines

The newly tuned Duratorq TDCi diesel engines ranging from 2.2- to 3.2-litre are more fuel efficient by 12% compared to the previous generation and refined. There is even a power and torque increase in the case of the 2.2-litre engine.

3) Smart features

In addition to a 4X4 drivetrain and electronic stability control, the top of the range Wildtrak variant offers six airbags and advanced safety features such as the Lane Keeping Aid, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning.

4) Off-road capabilities

It can wade through water up to 800mm, has the electronic-Locking Rear Differential, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control features which assists the driver through harsh terrains with ease.

5) It comes in Orange

You wouldn’t think colour makes a difference but it does. The Wildtrak variant looks decidedly cool with Pride Orange. It just stands out above the rest.
