Launched in Thailand in late January 2017, it is quite similar in many aspects to the present Vios in Malaysia.
It sports the same 1.5-litre dual VVT-i engine with 108hp and 140Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission with Sequential Shift.
Fuel economy is rated at 17.2km per litre.
Like the current Vios, it has a electric power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) and Traction Control (TRC).
This revised Vios has a new design for the front bumper, and grille, and 16-inch alloy wheels, and tailgate trim with new chrome strip, and newly designed LED tail lights.
