Two new exterior colours – Phantom Brown Metallic and Red Mica Metallic – join the four existing choices of White Pearl CS, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic and Attitude Black.
Imported from Thailand, all variants have a black theme for the cabin.
Seven airbags (driver, passenger, driver knee, sides and curtains airbag) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) are standard in all variants of the Corolla Altis.
Also standard are VSC, together with Traction Control (TRC), that helps to neutralise skidding, especially when cornering, and also improves stability during sudden lane-change manoeuvres.
All variants also come with driver and passenger seatbelt reminders, ISOFIX points, front and rear parking sensors, seatbelts with pretensioner and force limiter, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
On the exterior, changes to the Corolla Altis include new front and rear bumpers with a new grille design.
All variants now come standard with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs).
The new Corolla Altis has a comprehensive security system that consists of an engine immobiliser, cabin motion sensor, tilt sensor and a siren with back-up battery.
Its suspension has re-engineered front and rear absorbers to provide a supple ride and responsive handling.
Noise reduction measures have been taken for better cabin quietness.
Improvements were made on the dash panel inner silencer, front door trim, inner weather strip, front door clips and floor carpet layer to suppress road noise.
The 2.0 litre (3ZR-FE) and 1.8 litre (2ZR-FE) engines are maintained with 16-valve DOHC with Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence).
The engines are mated to a CVT with 7-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic Mode.
In addition, Sport Mode is available across all grades which help to maintain higher rpm for a sportier, direct and fun driving.
Features such as smart entry and start system are standard, and the 8-way power seat for the driver, auto fold outer rear view mirrors, electro chromic mirror and cruise control are exclusive for the 2.0V.
LED headlamps in a slim housing are fitted to Corolla Altis 2.0V while all variants now come standard with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs).
Reverse Link Tilt Down wing mirrors have been added for the 2.0V and 1.8G.
Functioning automatically, wing mirrors tilt down when in reverse mode to enhance rear visibility and help ease backing up.
17-inch alloy rims are standard for Corolla Altis 2.0V while the Corolla Altis 1.8G and 1.8E cruise with 16-inch alloy rims design with black painted accents.
The Corolla Altis 2.0V and 1.8G come with an Optitron meter combination with 4.2-inch colour Multi-Info Display (MID).
Also, air conditioner switches have been changed to a toggle type for easy operation with chrome-plated ornamentation for a high-quality feel.
