Opening the graduation ceremony, MBM president and CEO Roland Folger said,  “During Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s 10 year presence in Malaysia, we have not only focused on manufacturing luxury vehicles for the market, but we have also invested time into inspiring the passion and inculcating the right attitude with our apprentices.

"This is why we have gone to such great lengths to not just develop, but also to perfect, a programme that is suited to such needs. The Mercedes-Benz brand stands for perfection, unmatchable quality and superlative service, and ultimately these apprentices will be the individuals who will deliver such services to our customers.”

MBM’s Mechatronic trainees underwent a three-year programme, each worth over RM100,000, which covered the technical automotive knowledge, diagnostic skills and specific techniques exclusive to Mercedes-Benz’s vehicles.

To continue a concept that emphasises ‘lifelong learning’, trainees will continue training through a four-year practical stint providing them with the necessary practical experience.
