600 attend BMW Motorrad Nightfuel with four new bike launch

PENANG: BMW Motorrad Malaysia celebrated Making Life a Ride with Nightfuel Penang 2017 and subsequently launched four new bikes - the newly enhanced S 1000 RR, the rugged R1200GS, the classic R nineT Urban GS and the K1600 Bagger.

Priced from RM106,900, the S 1000 RR has been updated with the addition of ABS Pro to improve braking when heading into corners.

Next up was the R 1200 GS Rallye with its newly designed radiator flanks that's priced from RM105,900.

The blast-from-the-past R nineT Urban GS utilising with its engine from the R 1200 is currently priced from RM87,900 and comes with a longer front suspension travel, revised handlebar, larger 19.0-inch front wheel and a new scrambler-looking headlight surround.

Finally, the large K 1600 Bagger (cruise class), made its appearance, priced from RM159,900, along with its touring gear, a sloping tail and has been touted for its well-renown agility despite its size.

The gathering of BMW motorcycle enthusiasts was considered to be the largest with more than 600 fans converging at the island state of Penang from across the nation for the third installation of the BMW Motorrad Nightfuel series.

BMW Motorrad enthusiasts, bikers and fans made up of several convoys from BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country namely Wearnes Autohaus in Tebrau, Johor; Chear Motorrad from Puchong and Kuantan, Tan Siang Premium Auto from Ipoh, El Chong from Butterworth and Auto Bavaria Glenmarie as well as numerous motorcycling community groups came together in Penang.

“Despite some rain, the Nightfuel event in Penang had a great turnout of over 600 people. Truly keeping to our spirit of Make Life A Ride,” said BMW Motorrad Malaysia head Owen Riley.
