700hp Rezvani Beast X revealed
LOS ANGELES: Niche supercar maker Rezvani Motors has unveiled a 700hp car, said to be the most powerful it has ever produced.
Designed to be a true worldly competitor for the track (though completely street legal), the Rezvani Beast X produces features dual Borg Warner high-performance turbochargers, forged pistons and valves, and strengthened engine internals.
The rear-wheel drive car has a lightweight, 850kg carbon fiber body and steel chassis and is equipped with a standard six-speed manual gearbox. An optional sequential automatic is available.
Unique side wings provide improved downforce, a revised front and rear fascia give off a more menacing profile, and dual carbon fiber rear wings reduce the drag coefficient and improve handling in the corners.
Beast X has front and rear anti-roll bars and a 10-way adjustable dampers, front and rear
It uses 19-inch staggered tyres with the following specifications: 235/35/19 Continental SportContact 5P or Toyo Proxes R888 (front) and 295/30/19 Continental SportContact 5P or Toyo R888 (rear).
Each Rezvani Beast X is handbuild to order. Only five Beast X will be produced, at a cost of US$325,000 (RM1.4mil) each. That price also give owners free access to a number of tracks around the United States.
With the introduction of the Beast X, Rezvani said on Monday it has set up a new X division, responsible for the most extreme Rezvani Motors high-performance tuning of Rezvani vehicles and motorsport.
Rezvani also makes a 500hp Beast and a 300hp Beast Speedster. The car maker is based in Santa Ana near Los Angeles and is named after its Iranian-born founder Ferris Rezvani, whose mission is to create the lightest, highest performing car on the market at a reasonable price.
