KUALA LUMPUR: Honda (M) Sdn Bhd has sold close to 4,400 units of the 9th generation Civic as of October this year.

In a statement on Friday, Honda said this has put it at the number one spot in the non-national mid-sized sedan segment, commanding 30% of market share as of September.

Honda Malaysia managing director/chief executive officer Yoichiro Ueno said the company was pleased that the Civic continued to be regarded as the preferred choice in its segment.

"As we commit ourselves to provide for our customers, we strive to deliver products equipped with advanced green technology that offer higher performance, better fuel economy, affordability and fun-to drive elements," he said.

The Civic features a series of new technologies including a futuristic cockpit and a five-inch intelligent Multi-Information Display to promote smart and efficient driving.
