SHAH ALAM: Proton today kicked off its festive TV advertisement campaign which will continue until Sept 16.

The advertisment, with the slogan of "committed to be better" has been created to reflect Proton's engagement of each and everyone in the organisation towards better service, said its director of group marketing & branding, John Chacko to reporters at a pre-screening here on Friday.

The advertising campaign has been prepared in line with this year's unique festive season, and in spirit of the fasting month, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Hari Merdeka and Hari Malaysia which are all coming in one after another, he said.

"We are not just (here) to motivate Proton as an organisation through our air campaign but also to encourage the rest of the community that we are part of," Chacko said.

The 60-second duration "heart touching" advertisement will feature several local paralympic athletes who are champions in their respective field.

"The campaign seeks to provoke the desire as well as to inspire Malaysians to do more than what is expected, to go the extra mile, to push the extra yard in search of success and pursue excellence as is the philosophy by our champions here," Chacko said.

He said the decision to do the advertisment with the assistance of the disabled Malaysian sports people was made as they possessed a strong fighting spirit.

"Despite being physically challenged, they prove that there is no barrier in their pursue of excellence. They have made good what they have been blessed with."
