PETALING MALAYSIA: Audi Malaysia announced today the availability of the refreshed Q3, promising improved styling, better performance and enhanced features.
The front façade of the compact crossover features a redesigned grille and headlights that come standard with xenon plus technology and LED daytime running lights.
Two variants are on sale, with the 1.4 TFSI engine priced at RM217,900, while the 2.0 TFSI quattro is at RM 252,900.
The entry Q3 is paired with a 6-speed S tronic gearbox that develops 150hp and 250Nm of torque from between 1,500 and 3,500 rpm. The Q3 2.0 TFSI quattro combines a 2.0 TFSI engine with a 7-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive to produce 180hp and 320Nm of torque between 1,400 and 3,900 rpm.
The chassis has been retweaked to provide better dampening and comfort. The Audi drive select system also allows driver to further tune the engine throttle response, transmission and steering amongst other things to suit their personal preferences.
The 5-seater featured leather seats as well as a leather-covered gear knob and a leather four-spoke design multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles complemented with aluminium inlays and door sill trims. Standard cargo space is 460 litres and can be enlarged to 1,365 litres by folding down the split rear seatbacks.
The standard MMI radio features a 6.5-inch TFT colour display and the Audi sound system 6-channel amplifier with 10 speakers. The refreshed Q3 also has a range of electronic features including a start/stop system (with energy recuperation on the Q3 1.4 TFSI), Parking aid plus (with an upgrade to Parking assist with 360° display on the 2 litre variant), Hill-start assist, automatic luggage compartment lid,Electronic Stabilisation Control (ESC) which includes Traction Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and six airbags.
The Q3 is available in five colour choices: white, silver, blue, brown and black.
Audi Malaysia marketing director Rudi Venter said the Q3 serves as an introduction to the Q range through its accessible price points.
