MUNICH: The Navigator Street is a new affordable touchscreen GPS system that works with BMW-built bikes that weren't specified with navigation support.

The device responds to touches from gloved hands and its 4.3-inch display is legible in direct sunlight. Thanks to Bluetooth support it can relay directions as well as incoming calls, directly to a rider's helmet.

It comes with either free European or North American maps for life (depending on where the rider lives) and can be used in conjunction with a PC for detailed route and bike tour planning. There's also a social aspect in that photos, videos and travel information captured during a tour can be easily combined and shared through the device via Garmin's "Garmin Adventures" platform.

Other features of note include an automatic speed limit warning for when the route is unfamiliar and a sub-menu that can indicate restaurants, fuel stations and other conveniences within the local vicinity.
