BATU CAVES: Members of the Celica Club Malaysia recently visited the victims of the DUKE Highway tragedy that involved six Myvis and a Pajero, which left two children orphaned in its wake.

During a Saturday morning visit, the children Nur Firuza Amira and Nur Firuza Akila were gifted with toys while a cheque for RM10,000 was presented to their grandmother, Normah Toso.

The sum of RM10,000 was collected a few days before it was presented to the bereaved family.

Club member Ahmad Fithri Ahmad Shukor contacted members though their dedicated Facebook page and was able to collect a sizeable sum.

Ahmad related how heart warming it was to see the children smile when the club visited the family’s home.

“As a member of a car club community, I believe it is part of our responsibility to help this family in their time of need,” said Celica Club Malaysia president Marko Tung.

Tung added that the reason they came together was that the situation affects all car clubs in more ways than one.
