Honda Malaysia recalls 58,140 cars over driver airbag inflator

PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia has announced a recall for 58,140 cars produced from 2011 to 2013, to replace the driver airbag inflator.

All affected car owners will get notification letters. Those who receive the letters are advised to send their vehicles to the nearest authorised Honda dealer for inspection. Replacement works will be carried out once parts are ready. Cost of parts and labour related to the recall will be borne by Honda Malaysia.

Honda Malaysia urges owners of affected Honda cars to get their vehicles checked, and parts replaced at authorised Honda dealers as soon as possible upon receipt of the notification letters. Honda Malaysia affirms that all current selling models are not affected by this recall.
