MELBOURNE: Honda Australia, in conjunction with Melbourne metropolitan Honda dealer, Yarra Honda, has delivered the first NSX hybrid supercar to an Australian customer.
The second-generation Honda NSX has gone to Melbourne supercar enthusiast and long-time Honda fan, Allen Cheng - now the first official owner in Australia to secure the prized VIN ‘001’ for the local market. It even trumps Honda Australia’s own NSX demonstration vehicle - VIN ‘002’.
“The new Honda NSX is so much more exclusive than many European supercars on the market. As soon as its return was announced, I made sure I was on the waiting list straight away,” said Cheng who is now the founding member of the second-generation NSX owners in Australia.
Cheng is currently an owner of more than 10 Honda models over the last few years which includes a Civic Type R, Integra Type R, S2000 convertible and an Odyssey VTi-L.
During the handover ceremony, he was presented with a framed letter of congratulations and a 1:18 scale model of the car, finished in matching brilliant white paintwork.
