Featuring a more sleeker style compared to its predecessor, the new Kia Cerato Koup is also more powerful.

With a 1.6-litre turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine, the Koup has 201bhp at 6,000rpm and 265Nm of torque from 1,750 to 4,500rpm.

The engine has been paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox that helps it sprint from 0-100kph in 7.4 seconds.

Other features include HID headlamps, LED package, sunroof, ventilated driver’s seat, dual zone automatic climate controls with cluster ioniser, a 4.2-inch TFT LCD Supervision cluster and smart welcome lighting system.

Additionally, the driver gets the motor driven power steering (MDPS) with Flex Steer, providing a choice of Comfort / Normal / Sport steering feel.

The two-door Cerato Koup should come equipped with six airbags, anti-lock braking system, vehicle stability management with electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist and hill assist control to raise its appeal.
