LONDON: Lotus announced the arrival of the more potent 3-Eleven that's available in two forms of road (925kg- dry) and race (890kg - dry) versions,

While being powered by a revised 3.5-litre V6 aluminium engine fitted with an Edelbrock supercharger, a six-speed manual gearbox with sports ratios manages its 410hp at 7,000rpm and 410Nm of torque at 3,000rpm.

The race version uses a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters instead, with a larger 70 litres (+30 litres) fuel tank and bumps its performance figures up to 460hp at 7,000rpm and 525Nm of torque at 3,500rpm.

The heightened performance cuts its 0-100kph sprint time down to 3.0 seconds (-0.4 seconds) and raises its top speed to 290kph (+10kph), allowing it to lap the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife in under seven minutes.

The two-seater open-cockpit 3-Eleven uses bonded lightweight extruded aluminium for its chassis before getting slapped with carbon fibre body panels as well as a set of aerodynamically optimised front splitter, rear diffuser and wing. It also gets equipped with LEDs for the daytime running lights and rear light clusters.

A set of Öhlins adjustable dampers (race version) are used for the fully independent double wishbone suspension with front and rear anti-roll bars and braking power comes from a set of Red AP Racing four-piston callipers for the servo-assisted two-piece grooved disc brakes.

Also as standard fitment, it uses 18-inch (front) and 19-inch (rear) gloss black forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport (Road) or Michelin Cup 2 (Race) tyres measuring 225/40 (front) and 275/35 (rear).

Inside, it gets fitted with a full-colour TFT display with driver selection modes for road/track, engine start-stop button, page toggle switch, adjustable traction control, lightweight driver’s footrest, lightweight sport seats (Road) or FIA-approved competition seat (Race).
