KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, introduced its latest Triton VGT AT GL variant.

It arrives priced with GST without insurance at RM103,800, while accompanied by a five-year or 200,000km warranty (whichever comes first) and hails from the company's global production hub in Thailand unit

Externally, it features a dark front chrome grille, side-steps and 16.0-inch alloys, while the cabin's notable goodies include a double-DIN audio system, 4WD selector and automatic climate controls to name a few.

Under the hood lies the latest 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine with Variable Valve Timing technology that works together with a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) to provide 181PS and 430Nm of torque.

Notable capabilities of the Triton include the ability to turn within a 5.9m radius and the ability to up to a 1-tonne payload.

For safety, the Triton VGT AT GL comes with active stability and traction control system (ASTC) that helps keep the driver in control during over or understeer situations.

Other safety equipment includes electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, active stability control, traction control, hill-start assist and trailer stability assist.

A Mitsubishi roadshow will be held in Johor Baru from Sept 19 to 24 at the Centre Court of Aeon Tebrau City from 10.00am to 10.00pm and again in the Klang Valley from Sept 27 to Oct 1 at the Centre Court of Mid Valley Megamall from 10.00am to 10.00pm as well.
