Motion Simulation Room redefines full-motion simulator

By CARSIFU | 9 March 2016

LONDON: Motion Simulation Room, owned by Motion Simulation, has opened a new facility to house its latest first-of-its-kind full-motion race simulator in the United Kingdom (UK) that promises to provide a unique race car driving simulator experience unlike anything before to the public.

Located on the Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire, England, a minimum payment of £15 (RM90) to Motion Simulation Room allows users a short practice session (membership packages available) - so long as they're of a minimum height of 150cm

Each of the six full motion TL3 simulators are capable of generating up to twice earth's gravity (2G) of acceleration and are able to produce life-like movement across the three axis of yaw, pitch and roll.

The hand-built simulators utilise the world's first spherical screen that's 2,134mm-tall and has a 200-degree wrap-around effect to deliver visuals from a six million pixel image for an unbelievably realistic and immersive driving experience.

It also features professional race pedals, controls, full force-back steering and at the press of a button, the cockpit becomes fully-adjustable, allowing the driving position to be altered from that of a Formula 1 to a GT or road car - something no other simulation centres can currently offer.

In order to create the simulator, the company took five years to design, test and collaborate with simulation experts, international race teams (including a Formula1 world championship team), commercial and ex-military pilots.

The founder of both companies, Johnathan Bell, said that although Motion Simulation has been providing simulators to race teams over the last few years, he now wants to provide everyone with the opportunity to experience it at Motion Simulation Room.

Users can experience the world’s most famous race circuits, and there will be a variety of sessions available to suit driver experience and ability.

Be it a solo race-session or among a group of friends/colleagues, there will be a lap time leader board available that shows the fastest circuit times among others.

Through its parent company, Motion Simulation Ltd, the company uniquely designs and manufactures its own simulators – meaning that the design and functionality is cutting edge and always sets new standards in driving experience.

Both companies were founded by , an ex-racing car owner and driver, with a deep understanding of car set up and design innovation.

"With track days and circuit hire becoming unrealistically expensive for many people now, our facility offers the perfect chance to experience a range of exciting race cars, safely and conveniently,” said Bell.
