KUALA LUMPUR: Nasim Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia, has introduced a five-year protection plan that’s designed to cover the original purchase price of the car - Peugeot Protect.
The plan is backed by Axa and Affin Bank and is meant to address the event of total loss of a Peugeot vehicle due to theft, accident, fire, flood or natural disasters - since motor insurance policies do not cover the original purchase price of the car.
It also affords Peugeot owners the ability to utilise the plan at any time during the five-year period to cover the difference in value between their car's purchase price and the depreciated value insured by the motor insurance policy.
This ensures that, in the event of a total loss, customers will not need to bear the burden of paying for the uninsured outstanding value of their vehicle, but rather, they will be able to replace their lost vehicle with a brand new one.
From now till July 31, customers who purchase the Peugeot 3008, 5008 and the new 508 will be entitled to the plan for free and Nasim will cover the cost of the premium during this one-month special promotional period.
All Peugeot vehicles come with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage together with Nasim’s 24-hour Peugeot Assistance service, Peugeot Privilege membership and complimentary access to the Peugeot Lounge at Subang Airport.
