CYBERJAYA: The BMW R nineT Scrambler, previously introduced in October 2016, now has a new variant offering a Monolithic Metallic Matte Fuel Tank to feed the longitudinally-mounted 1,170cc two-cylinder boxer engine with 110hp and 116Nm of torque.
The new R nineT offering has been priced on the road with GST without insurance at RM86,900.00 (-RM6,000) and is accompanied with a few refinements.
For starters, the front fork suspension is now fully adjustable and comes from the high-powered S 1000 RR super bike.

The engine has also been retuned to meet the requirements of the EU4 pollutant class while fuel consumption remains at 5.3 litres per 100km.
Concurrently, tank ventilation has also been improved by introducing a carbon canister in the fuel system.
The prop-shaft driven motorcycle also features a classic speedometer with analogue display in the instrument cluster as well as a dual-row LCD display to view information such as time and trip distance.
