Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. introduced three variants of the new Honda Accord that's been enhanced in looks and receives an array of convenience equipment and safety features.
The new Honda Accord starts with the entry-level 2.0 E at 1,385,000 baht (RM180,500), the mid-range with 2.0 EL at 1,445,000 baht (RM188,300) and the range-topping 2.4 EL at 1,635,000 baht (RM213,000).
Externally there's a new sporty front grille, and the Accord is also equipped with LEDs for the headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights and rear taillights.
Both the 2.0E and EL variants use a 2.0-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine producing 155hp at 6,500 rpm 190Nm of torque at 4,300rpm, while the 2.4-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine provides 174hp at 6,200rpm and 225Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
Both engines are mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, and are compatible with E85 fuel.
Within the spacious interior, a combination of wood-grain and piano black inserts accent the cabin.
The list of conveniences include Engine Remote Start, Advanced Display Audio (A-DA) with Apple CarPlay connectivity or smartphone connectivity via MirrorLink system including WIFI network connection or Hotspot link for browser function.
Safety comes in the form of six airbags, Honda's blindspot monitoring system - LaneWatch, Active Cornering Lights (ACL) and Multi-angle Rearview Camera to name a few.
