Nissan NP300 Navara coming in November

By CARSIFU | 7 October 2015

KUALA LUMPUR: Local Nissan distributor Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) said today the new NP300 Navara will be making its way to Malaysia next month.

The NP300 Navara made its world debut last year in Thailand, and has already started selling in Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia and Australia this year. Most recently, the NP300 Navara was launched in Europe at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The 12th-generation NP300 Navara comes from a long line of Nissan pick-up heritage spanning 80 years. Around 14 million units of the pick-up have been sold in 180 countries.

An improved version of Nissan’s 2.5L Diesel YD25 engine under the bonnet provides a maximum power output of 187hp and torque of 450Nm at 2,000rpm, making it the most powerful pick-up in its segment. Together with a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode – the first in its class – the NP300 Navara is said to lead the way with more power and smoother acceleration with better fuel economy.

It will also be the first Japanese pick-up with multi-link rear suspension to be offered in Malaysia for improved ride comfort, handling and stability.

ETCM is organising a series of roadshows from Oct 15, whereby the public could get a glimpse of the new pick-up via a unique 3D floor art display.

Alternatively, members of the public can visit www.np300navara.com.my to discover Nissan’s  pick-up heritage and register their interest on the NP300 Navara for an invitation to a test drive.
