Perodua Bezza gets top safety rating

KAJANG: The new Perodua Bezza has received the maximum 5-star Asean NCAP safety rating, for the top-of-the-range Bezza 1.3-litre auto Advance variant fitted with dual frontal Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

The other four Bezza variants without ESC received a 4-star rating.

ISOFIX child anchors and top tether come as standard in all Bezza variants.

Hence, in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, Bezza achieved a 4-star rating by achieving 85% compliance.

Also, the Bezza comes as standard with dual frontal airbags and SBR for driver only.

New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) chairman Dr Wong Shaw Voon said, "It is the first sedan car by Perodua and it is also the first Perodua car to be installed with ESC.

Furthermore, it is also Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) compliant, in line with the National Automotive Policy.”

ASEAN NCAP secretary-general Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim said, “The Bezza has moved further than basic requirements by installing ESC and dual SBR for its higher variant but at an affordable price. Bezza proves that safety is affordable.”

The Bezza is priced on-the-road at RM37,300 (1.0L manual): RM39,300 (1.0L auto): RM42,800 (1.3L manual): RM44,800 (1.3L auto Premium) and RM50,800 (1.3L auto Advance).

It has a 5-year or 150,000km (whichever comes first) warranty.
