CarSifu’s senior writer Thomas Huong tells The Star TV what he  thinks about the Bezza, Perodua’s first sedan, which will be officially launched on July 21.

There are five variants, priced on-the-road at RM37,300 (1.0L manual): RM39,300 (1.0L auto): RM42,800 (1.3L manual): RM44,800 (1.3L auto Premium) and RM50,800 (1.3L auto Advance).

It has a 5-year or 150,000km (whichever comes first) warranty.



 

Perodua Bezza 1.0L
Engine: 998cc 3-cylinder DOHC, VVT-i
Maximum power: 67hp at 6,000rpm
Maximum torque: 91Nm at 4,400rpm

Perodua Bezza 1.3L
Engine: 1,329cc 4-cylinder DOHC, dual VVT-i
Maximum power: 94hp at 6,000rpm
Maximum torque: 121Nm at 4,000rpm

Transmission: 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic
Standard features: Two airbags, ABS (anti-lock brake system) and EBD (electronic brake force distribution), ISOFIX child seat anchors and top tether, and Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for driver.
Features (1.0L variants): Remote control boot release, audio system with USB
Features (1.3L variants): Remote control and release-button for boot, audio system with USB and Bluetooth, wiper speed link-to-vehicle-speed, rear USB port, smart entry and engine push-start button, solar and security window film
Features (1.3L auto Advance): Vehicle stability control (VSC), traction control, hill start assist, regenerative braking system, multimedia system with navigation, Smart Link for Android smartphones, reverse camera, dual front Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR), Eco-idle.
