Petron starts Raya safety campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: Petron has started its road safety campaign today to ensure a safe and convenient journey for motorists for this coming Hari Raya celebrations.

The campaign, from now to July 12, includes participating petrol stations in Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Pahang, Kelantan, Sabah and Selangor.

Motorists will be offered road safety tips and flyers promoting the use of seatbelts, helmets and headlights.

Select stations will also be providing 32-point vehicle inspection in collaboration with Honda Malaysia. The stations include Petron Bandar Baru Pasir Pekan, Petron Jalan Sultanah, Petron Sg Besi Toll Southbound, Petron Jalan Beserah, Kuantan; Ptron Skudai Toll Northbound and Petron Ulam North, Kota Kinabalu.

"We encourage motorists to drive safely, observe traffic rules by putting on seat belts and safety helmets, and adhere to speed limits. We also advise them to have their vehicles inspected before driving," said Petron head of corporate safety, security, health and environment, Lokman Hani.

The Petron road safety campaign is one of the company's leading and biggest social responsibility programs. Petron aims to promote good driving and riding habits among motorists especially during the festive season where traffic is busiest.
