Peugeot presents 3008 GT

PARIS: Peugeot has lifted the lid on an addition to its upcoming 3008 range, in the shape of a high-end GT model. With its 180hp engine and surprising two-tone paint job, the GT model will land when the brand's new-generation crossover goes on sale this autumn following the Paris Motor Show.

The GT model brings a few sporty and exclusive extras to the new specs already announced for the upcoming 3008, such as Peugeot's i-Cockpit, which does away with dials in favour of a digital display and a touch screen.

The Peugeot 3008 GT comes with LED headlights as standard and sequential indicators. It has specific exterior design features and a stylish interior with copper top-stitching on the dashboard trim, door trim panels, central armrests and contoured seats. This is matched with a stainless steel pedal unit and footrest.

The 3008 GT gets a 2.0L BlueHDi 180hp engine and an automatic six-speed gearbox, making it the most powerful of the range. Peugeot is also offering an optional paint finish called "Coupe Franche," using three of the range's colors (Platinum Gray, Amazonite Gray and Metallic Copper) matched with a Perla Nera black rear.

The 3008 GT Line is billed as an even more stylish option than the GT thanks to 18" two-tone diamond-cut alloys and Perla Nera black wing mirror cases.

The Peugeot 3008, 3008 GT and GT Line go on sale from October, coinciding with the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

The Paris Motor Show runs Oct 1-16 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition centre here.
