PETALING JAYA: Porsche Asia Pacific has launched an online racing game titled the 718 Challenge to mark the arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine 718 model line in Malaysia.

From July 18 to Aug 17, gamers can compete against each other online to come to fame – and a grand prize to be won.

The best player, reaching the top of the leaderboard by Aug 17 midnight will win access to the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in Singapore from Sept 16-18. The event is held as part of the 2016 Formula 1.



Interested participants may visit www.porsche.com/718challenge to join the race and learn more about the heritage of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman, originating from the 718 mid-engine sports cars that had won numerous races in the 50s and 60s such as the Targa Florio and Le Mans.

The 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S were previewed at the Sepang circuit last Friday ahead of their official launch soon. The preview was held in tandem with the Porsche World Roadshow which ends tomorrow.
