PETALING JAYA: Renault distributor TC Euro Cars has confirmed the Captur price at RM117,200.
It has stated in a preview last July that indicative pricing of the compact urban crossover was from RM118,000 to RM123,000.
Since its debut, Renault said the Captur has become one of its popular models, with over 500,000 units sold globally. The urban crossover, targeted at the active and young-at-heart, has also been touted as the best-selling model in Europe’s small SUV segment since 2013.
The Captur is powered by the new turbocharged TCe 120 engine that is mated to a 6-speed Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) transmission, which delivers performance equivalent to a traditional 1.8L engine but also enables strong acceleration from low engine speed. It also offers best-in-class fuel efficiency of up to 5.4l/100km.
The cabin promises refinements that include attractive two-toned seat covers with stylish stitching that are also removable for easy washing, reversible boot floors with carpeting on one side and plastic on the other as well as the sliding and foldable bench seat, which splits 1/3-2/3 for increased boot space.
Renault said the Captur is the only crossover in Malaysia to offer four two-toned exterior colouring for that funky and unique look.

It comes with a five-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty.
From March 9-13, TC Euro Cars is holding a roadshow at the lower ground floor, Oval, 1 Utama Shopping Centre here to showcase the Captur, Clio GT, Twizy and Zoe electric cars. Visitors to the roadshow will also get the chance to test-drive the Captur and receive merchandise.
