SINGAPORE: An "operational exercise" will be conducted at the Tuas and Woodlands Checkpoints early Thursday (Feb 25) morning, Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) announced in a statement.

The exercise, which will take place from midnight to 2.30am, is meant to validate ICA's operational procedures and plans in response to certain scenarios, it said on Tuesday.

Travellers using the checkpoints during the stated period are advised not to be alarmed, ICA said.

Signs will also be put up at all exercise areas to inform travellers.

"ICA will seek to minimise any inconvenience arising from the exercise," the statement added. "We seek travellers' understanding and cooperation when using the land checkpoints during this period."
