IRVINE (North America): A micro-site for the reservation of the 2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition was entirely reserved within 10 minutes of the site going live.
The pre-order program was set to end some time on May 31 or when 250 customers were registered, whichever came first, with the possibility of extending the end date.
250 registrants accessed the 25th anniversary pre-order micro-site.
Registered customers will be contacted directly by MNAO, of which the first 100 verified customer would be given the opportunity to pre-order an anniversary model.
Upon verification of purchase intent and transmission selection, the customer's information will then be forwarded to the dealership of their choosing to finalize the transaction.
The anniversary model will arrive in dealerships beginning sometime in the second half of 2015 as will the rest of the 2015 model-year MX-5 Miata line-up.
Pricing for the MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition equipped with a Power-Retractable Hard Top and a six-speed manual transmission starts at US$32,205 (RM107,340) while those with an automatic begins at US$32,655 (RM108,840).
In addition, the new owners of the MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition will each receive a custom-crafted 42mm diameter stainless-steel Tourneau watch with front and back sapphire crystal glass and a display winder box.
Each watch and display set will also feature a MX-5 and 25th Anniversary logo.
