SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota Motor has announced the addition of two new variants for its Camry line-up with the introduction of the Camry 2.5 Hybrid Premium and the Camry 2.0G X.
The 2.0G X and 2.5 Hybrid Premium get priced on-the-road with GST and insurance at RM159,900 and RM64,900 respectively, while being positioned below the current range-topping Camry 2.5 Hybrid Luxury at RM174,900 and above the Camry 2.0E at RM152,900,
Firstly, safety has been improved across all models by having seven airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill-start assist and emergency stop signal as standard.

While all variants now sport a lower leather boot for the gear shifter, the 2.5 Hybrid Luxury reserves a few goodies for itself, such as the blind spot monitoring system, rear cross traffic alert, the 12 JBL Green Edge speakers and a 5.1-channel surround sound system.
As for the new 2.0G X variant, it reserves a dark brown upholstery with Mughal Teak wood interior trim for itself and borrows the wireless Qi-charger from the range-topper.
Manual sunshades for the rear windows, a powered rear sun-screen, an 8-way power-adjustable seat with a front passenger shoulder switch find their way into the top three variants, which means the 2.0 E misses out on these goodies.
The new Camry 2.5 Hybrid Premium and Camry 2.0 E both share the same 16-inch wheels, while the Camry 2.5 Hybrid Luxury and new Camry 2.0G X get to bond over their 17-inch wheels.
Both Hybrid variants now come with front LED fog lamps, JPJ-compliant Toyota Premium Security and Solar Film as well as a digital video recorder as standard (optional for Camry 2.0 E and 2.0G X).
