KUALA LUMPUR: For those on the road to buying a pick-up, hold your horses until the Triton LITE Turbo is launched.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia said the truck has an enhanced engine with turbocharger and answers the needs for performance, functionality and comfort.

It is based on the powertrain of the 2.5-litre SOHC IDI Turbocharged diesel engine which produces a power of 89PS at 4,000 rpm, with a maximum torque of 196Nm at 2,000 rpm.



It has a stylish designed ‘sedan’ look, new 15” alloy wheels, chrome finishing on the grip and mirrors, and LITE Turbo stickers.

The cabin features a dual-tone effect with a dashboard tht houses a 1 DIN Audio with AUX-in functionality.

Two body colours are offered – Cool Silver Metallic and White Solid.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is giving a 3-year/100,000 km warranty as well as a two-year free maintenance package.

With a tight 5.7m turning radius, the truck has the ability to maneuver through tight spaces.

It has a low cargo height of 715mm for easy loading. It boasts a spacious interior that offers ample legroom and headroom space.

Other standard equipment includes keyless entry, power windows, speed-sensitive front wiper, central door locking system and headlamp auto off-function.

A Load Sensing Proportioning Valve is said to be able to accurately distribute braking force. Passive safety features also includes Anti-Intrusion brake pedal, collapsible steering as well as the rigid RISE body structure.

The imminent arrival of the new Triton joins the other variants comprising Triton VGT 2.5-litre 4x4 Automatic, 2.5-litre 4×4 Automatic and Manual, 2.5-litre 4×4 Standard Manual and Triton Lite 2.5-litre 4×2 Manual.

Priced at RM65,997.10 on-the-road inclusive of insurance, the fully imported Triton LITE Turbo bookings is open for bookings.
