Their latest car is to be released exclusively in the Gran Turismo (GT) 6 video game and is said to be more far fetched than other Vision GT concepts; being “virtually” easier to realise since it doesn’t need to conform to things like…ergonomics.
Meant for the track, the SRT Tomahawk uses the Dodge Viper as its base for creativity and inspiration, but will it ever leave the company’s production line is as good a question as asking if Dodge will ever start producing pet food.
The SRT Tomahawk is by far one of the most outrageously designed Vision GT vehicles thus far with carbon fibre bodywork, an intricate rear wing and five chrome exhaust ports.
The Tomahawk name was used by FCA before and appeared in the 2003 North American International Auto Show as a concept motorcycle that uses a 500hp V10 engine from the Viper.
The new concept from FCA will join other Vision GT concepts such as the Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision, Lexus LF-LC GT, Mazda LM55 Vision, Mini Clubman Vision, Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo and the Volkswagen GTI Supersport Vision.
The racing video game, GT 6, is the sixth major release and the twelfth game overall in the GT gaming series that was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the Playstation 3 gaming console.
