KUALA LUMPUR: The new Aveta Nova 160 Signature Edition (SE) comes with dual channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control system (TCS) to deliver enhanced safety and stability.
The Nova 160 SE is an upgraded version of the popular Nova 160 scooter from home-grown motorcycle brand Aveta Malaysia.
This latest upgrade comes as the Transport Ministry moves toward implementing its new regulation mandating ABS for all motorcycles above 150cc starting in 2025.
“The launch of the Nova 160 SE reflects Aveta’s readiness to meet the Transport Ministry's requirement and our commitment to prioritising rider safety,” said Aveta Malaysia group managing director Steven Lim.
“While adapting to stricter safety regulations, we remain focused on delivering advanced technology and style at an affordable price point.” he added.
The Nova 160 SE combines upgraded safety systems and refreshed styling.
Its new decal design and three eye-catching colour options — Teal Green, Copper Blaze and Dark Blue — lend it a sportier and more dynamic appearance.
The Nova 160 SE retains the proven 160cc powertrain and is priced at an introductory RM8,088 (until Dec 2025), after which it will be at its regular tag of RM8,388.
Prices exclude insurance and road tax.
