SEATTLE: Do you text and drive? Stay glued to the bumper of the car in front of you, throwing death glares into the back of the driver's head until they get the picture and switch lanes? Congratulations, you are among some of the most annoying and infuriating drivers on the road.
For the third year in a row, in Expedia's annual Road Rage Report, texters were rated the most unpopular type of driver, taking the biggest percentage of the vote at 22 percent.
The survey, conducted by market research company GfK, polled 1,000 Americans about their biggest driving pet peeves ahead of Memorial Day weekend, when more than 30 million drivers are expected to hit the roads.

After texters, the tailgater was identified as the second-most aggravating driver, taking 14 percent of the vote, followed by the “last-minute-line-cutter” at 13 percent.
“Many of us have been guilty of these behaviours behind the wheel – it's easier to notice poor driving when it isn't you,” said John Morrey, Expedia vice-president and general manager in a statement.
“But Memorial Day will put many millions of drivers in close proximity, and it's important to be particularly sensitive to one another. The same is true on a plane, in a hotel, anywhere – consideration for your fellow traveler helps everyone.”
If you're particularly prone to erupting into fits of road rage while driving, best avoid New York, home to the least courteous drivers in the US, according to survey respondents.
After the Big Apple, which took 43 percent of the vote, Angelenos were identified as the second-worst drivers, followed by Chicago.
On the flip side, Portland, Oregon was identified as the most courteous driving city, where drivers are more prone to respect right of ways, send friendly waves of thanks for being let through, respect speed limits and personal space.
Minneapolis/St. Paul fell in second place.
Back-seat driving was also cited as the most offensive behaviour among passengers by 61 percent of respondents, followed by reluctant co-pilots who won't help navigate (11 percent), and the radio hog (9 percent).
