PETALING JAYA: Honda Malaysia has announced that it has managed to record over 920 bookings for its 10th-generation Accord.
The D-segment sedan was recently launched in February with the range-topping 1.5-litre VTEC Turbocharged Premium (TC-P) being the most popular variant - contributing 78% to total bookings to-date.
The latest Accord is available in two variants starting with the standard 1.5 TC with an on-the-road price without insurance and sales tax of RM178,203 (Platinum White Pearl colour +RM364).
The flagship 1.5 TC-P is priced similarly at RM187,390 which also incurs an additional RM364 to have it coated in Platinum White Pearl as well.
This means that the Accord has managed to retain its top position within the D-segment market for the first half of the year with a market share of 40%.
In terms of colour preference, the new Platinum White Pearl was the favourite, accounting for 33% of the total bookings.
As for the regional sales, the Central region contributed the highest number of bookings with 42% of the total bookings, followed by the Southern region and Northern region at 23% and 19% respectively.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Honda customers for believing in us and choosing the Accord as their preferred executive sedan,” said Honda Malaysia managing director and CEO Toichi Ishiyama.
