2015 facelifted Camry launched in Thailand

BANGKOK: The revised Toyota Camry 2015 was launched recently in Thailand.

Six variants are offered, consisting of two 2.0-litre grades and four 2.5-litre grades.

The top three grades are 2.5-litre hybrids.

Price tags range from Thai Baht 1.32 million (RM148,309) for the Camry 2.0G, to Thai Baht 1.9 million (RM213,514) for the Camry 2.5 Hybrid Premium.

The non-hybrid Camry has a 6-speed automatic gearbox with Sequential Shift, while the hybrids get the E-CVT (electronic continuously variable transmission).

The revised Camry gets a new 2.0-litre engine with VVT-iW (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent Wide) and D-4S fuel injection system.

This new 2.0-litre engine has 167ps at 6,500rpm and 199Nm at 4,600rpm.

Features in the Camry hybrids include projector-beam headlights, new LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, 8-way powered front seats, and a Qi wireless charger for smartphones.

The top two Camry hybrid grades also get a DVD player with touchscreen, in-car navigator as well as 10 JBL premium speakers.
