TOKYO: At the 45th Tokyo Motor Show, Honda Motor highlighted concepts and vehicles that underlined its vision of having green vehicles as two-thirds of its global sales by 2030.

"As of today, Honda's cumulative global sales of hybrid vehicles has exceeded 2 million units. We will continue to strengthen hybrid, plug-in hybrid and EV (electric vehicle) models," said Honda Motor president and CEO Takahiro Hachigo.

Among the key Honda exhibits at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017 are:

A new model based on this concept will go on sale first in Europe in 2019, and then in Japan in 2020.

Its simple design and compact proportions are ideal for modern city driving.

A communicative front grille displays battery charge status, driving advice and greetings in multiple languages, while the wrap-around interior display is supposed to inspire an emotive attachment with the driver.
