TOKYO: A new Lexus concept car will make its world premiere at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show.

The luxury division of Toyota did not disclose further information on the concept car but said more details will be announced on Oct 25 at the show's opening.

The concept car could either be a performance version of the LS known as the LS F or a three-row RX.

The new Lexus LS model, which will launch soon, will be among 11 production models on display at the show.

The LS is to be joined by the "LC" luxury flagship coupe, which launched in March, the partially redesigned "CT" compact hybrid hatchback, and the "NX" luxury crossover, among others.

Now in its fifth generation, the LS sports a coupe silhouette while preserving ample interior space and promising a more-emotional experience. It is powered by a 3.5-litre, twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 416hp and 601Nm of torque. Relaying power to the rear wheels is a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The LS will also have a number of advanced safety technologies such as the standard Lexus Safety System+ or the optional Lexus Safety System+ A, which offers additional safety equipment. A hybrid version is also available.
