KUALA LUMPUR: With a week more to go before the introduction of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) in September, a pair of business partners have been given a mission to secure a vehicle during the 2018 CarSifu Auto Show.

For business partners Harmeet and Sarjit Panesar, who got to know about the show through The Star newspaper, their brother-in-law have commissioned them to seek and select the best offer at the show.

"We've actually been shopping around for a few months now and since we saw that the show was happening in Mid Valley in The Star newspaper, we thought we should come and take a look for my brother-in-law," said Sarjit.

"We're considering the Isuzu D-max pickup truck at the moment and next up we thought we should take a look at what Renault is offering. We're still undecided, but ultimately we need to make a decision by today about which to get," added Harmeet.

As for 39 year-old government servant Fazli Jusoh, this may just be the right time to make a change and replace his existing vehicle to fit his family members more comfortably.

"I'm actually considering a sport utility vehicle at the moment and I was thinking perhaps the Nissan X-Trail would be a better size for us," said Fazli who brought along his wife, two children and their grandmother.
