CHENGDU: The Lynk & Co 03 saloon debuted at the 2018 Chengdu Motor Show today, and is the first non SUV (sport utility vehicle) offering from the new car marque brewed by Volvo Cars and the Geely Group.

It touts connectivity as its core value, and is aimed at young and trendy consumers.

This is the third offering from the new car maker, after the 01 and 02 SUVs.



It measures 4,657mm in length, 1,840mm in width and 1,460mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,730mm and is fitted with 225/45 R18 tyres.

Under the sheet metal, the 03 uses the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) developed by Geely and Volvo, and is shared with the Volvo XC40.



The unit on display at the motor show is powered by a 1.5-litre Drive-E direct injected turbocharged petrol engine.

A 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a plug-in hybrid variant are also expected to be available.
