By THOMAS HUONG | 6 March 2019

GENEVA: Following its world premiere in January, the new V-Class celebrates its first presentation to the public at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show.

The main attractions are the introduction of the OM 654 four-cylinder diesel in a number of power variants – the V 300 d with a new top output of 239hp (fuel consumption combined: 6.3-5.9 l/100 km) – the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, available for the first time in the V-Class, as well as the very latest safety and assistance systems, including Active Brake Assist.

The new front end gives the V-Class a broader stance and an even stronger visual presence, aided by a restyled bumper with a distinctive air intake as well as a new diamond structure on the grille.

The Mercedes star is positioned centrally on the grille and flanked by two silver fins.

The individualisation concept with the attractive AVANTGARDE and EXCLUSIVE lines has been retained, while the facelift gives the AMG line even greater visual impact.

It sets a sporty accent with a new diamond grille and chrome pins.
