“When first introduced in Malaysia in 2017, the Bold Runabout Vehicle (BR-V) revolutionised the MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) segment. The growing popularity of the BR-V is attributed to its combination of versatile and practical features, good product quality and fuel efficiency, as well as customers’ trust in the Honda brand over the years. With improvements in this New BR-V, we believe the model will continue to receive positive market acceptance,” said Honda Malaysia managing director and CEO Toichi Ishiyama.
The BR-V remains powered by a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine mated to a CVT (continuous variable transmission), and produces 120ps, the highest in its class.
To maximise space for passengers and cargo, it offers multiple configurations enabled by the 60:40 one-touch tilt and tumble in the second row and 50:50 tilt and full tumble in the third row.
It has the biggest trunk space at 223 litres when all the seats are up and 539 litres when the third-row seats are folded down.
