PETALING JAYA: All lanes at the old Batu Tiga Toll Plaza have been opened to the public since 10.15 last night as the demolition of the toll plaza nears completion, according to PLUS Malaysia.

The lanes were opened following the successful completion of phase three of the dismantling of the toll plaza building structures, which included the middle section of the plaza canopy, road markings and road barriers.

The lanes on the highway have been realigned accordingly.

With phase three successfully carried out as scheduled, the final phase of demolition works – which involves the demolition of side sections of the building structure – is now being carried out.

According to PLUS, the first and second phases, which include the removal process of all toll plaza assets and road diversion, was commenced on Jan 22 and Feb 20 respectively.

The dismantling of the Batu Tiga toll plaza, as well as the plaza on Sungai Rasau toll plaza from Feb 21, is expected to be fully completed by the end of March.

PLUS said all drivers should continue to observe the speed limit and drive carefully when approaching the construction area as the final phase of work carried out.
