The fully imported model from Japan is available in three variants: CX-30 2.0L at RM143,119.20; CX-30 2.0L High at RM164,119.20 and CX-30 1.8L Diesel High at RM173,027.70. All prices are on-the-road without insurance.
The CX-30 is a new compact crossover SUV that combines the bold proportions of an SUV with elegant styling that embodies Mazda’s Kodo design language. The CX-30 sits between the CX-3 and CX-5 on the sizing scale.
Its cabin comfortably seats four adults and was designed to be easy to drive. The increased height over a passenger car provides excellent visibility and makes getting in and out a breeze while the body size makes it easy to manoeuvre.
There are up to eight colours to choose from: Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Titanium Flash, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Snowflake White Pearl and Polymetal Gray Metallic.
You may be wondering why the CX-30 is not named CX-4 instead. This is because the CX-4 was introduced in 2016 as a China-only model.
The CX-30 is smaller than the CX-4 and arrived only this year. In short, the CX-4 and CX-30 are two different crossovers. Mazda decided to name the CX-30 as such to avoid confusion with the CX-4.
All new Mazda vehicles registered from Jan 1, 2019 onwards will be entitled to a five-year warranty with five-year free maintenance (except BT-50 pick-up truck) according to manufacturer’s standards and includes labour, parts and lubricants.
The warranty and free maintenance have a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000km, whichever comes first.
