Update: The RM2.25 RON97 petrol price for April 2015 is inclusive of the 6% GST.

PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices for April remain unchanged, but there will be a 6% Goods and Service Tax (GST) imposed on RON97 petrol.

In an SMS reply to The Star when asked about April fuel prices, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek replied, "No change".

Bernama reported, quoting a Ministry spokesman, that April fuel prices for RON95, RON97 petrol and diesel were unchanged, but the 6% GST on RON97 petrol would be applicable.

The prices will come into effect at 12.01am on April 1.
