INGOLSTADT: Audi has started teasing the world with the Q5 that’s set to be unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

The crossover will feature optional matrix LED headlights and dynamic turn signals.

Like the new A4 (which arrived in Malaysia earlier this month),it is based on the MLB Evo platform and is expected to have a bigger cabin than before while being 100kg lighter. Similarly, we are likely to see the new Q5 have a bigger boot; the outgoing model offers 540 litres of boot space which enlarges to 1,560l with rear seats folded.

The second-generation Q5 will be produced at Audi’s new plant in Mexico unlike before when it was built at its base here. Production is set to begin by the end of the year.

> CarSifu will be heading to California soon to drive the new Q5. Stay tuned.
