UPDATE: Malaysia is allocated five units of the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce, but Lamborghini KL is seeking to increase that quota. Four units have already had takers. The car is scheduled for Malaysian launch in October with an indicative price of RM3.5mil.

SHANGHAI: The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce made its Asian debut at the Shanghai auto show.

Production of the car is limited to 600 units worldwide. Lamborghini said this car is the most  sports-oriented,  fastest  and most emotional  series  model  it has ever produced.

Like all SV models before it, the Aventador  Superveloce  continues  the  Lamborghini  tradition  of   raising the performance  bar.

The  car sheds 50kg  through  enhanced lightweight  engineering,  including  significant  use  of  carbon  fiber.  The  naturally aspirated  V12  engine’s  power  is  increased  to  750hp, resulting in  a power-to-weight-ratio of 2.03 kg/hp. The Superveloce accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 2.8 seconds and powers on to reach a top speed of more than 350kph.

Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann described the  Aventador LP 750-4 as "the most exclusive, pure and emotional car in our current model range."

The Aventador LP 700-4,  on which the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is based, comes in coupe and roadster variants.

Also on display in Shanghai are the Huracan and the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition.

This year marks Lamborghini’s 10-year anniversary of entering into the China market,  which  remains  one  of  the  most  important  markets  for Lamborghini.

CarSifu is now in Singapore to report on the launch of the Aventador Superveloce in the island republic tomorrow. You can count on the car coming to Malaysia after that though how many units will be allocated this side of the Tebrau strait remains to be seen.
