LONDON: The BBC is working on a feature-length drama based on the popular video game series Grand Theft Auto.
According to Engadget, the one-off programme will run 90 minutes and chronicle the making of the video game created by a group of British school friends and coders.
The last iteration of the series, "GTVV," released in 2013, earned an eyewatering US$1bil (RM3.7bil) within the first three days of its launch to become the fastest selling entertainment product in history.
The drama is part of a major BBC campaign that focuses on everything digital, including an expanded digital trainee program and dedicated BBC programmes.
No release date has been given.
