The convoy, which started from Nasi Kukus BOSS in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, made a stop at the nearest lake for a group photo before arriving at the Setia Convention Centre where VW est 2019 was being held.
The convoy of iconic Beetles drew plenty of attention along the journey with the highlight of the event being the hot air balloon ride, plenty of food trucks, test drives and free checkpoint by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia.
The convoy participants certainly had an enjoyable time, and many stated that they are looking forward to taking part in future activities.
With such a positive response, Beetle Club Malaysia is already looking into planning other events for its members, such as the Eastern, Northern and Southern Convoy followed by an Annual Dinner that will be held at the beginning of 2020.
The other Volkswagen clubs that joined in on the event included VW Owners Club Malaysia and Tiguan Club Malaysia.
In addition, Beetle Club Malaysia members that join as official members can enjoy privileges that include limited-edition merchandise (T-Shirt, caps, beetle accessories and more from Shoppee store - BeetleClub. My) and no membership renewal fees.
“The overwhelming response and support that we received for the BCM Merdeka Convoy 2019 had convinced us that our members thoroughly appreciate our efforts in organising such events. They are a fun, outgoing group and are truly living the Beetle Lifestyle as a family,” said Beetle Club Malaysia president Daniel Lee Wan Ann.
