BEIJING: Nissan unveiled the new Tiida and launched its Maxima saloon, at the Beijing Auto Show 2016.
Additionally, the Nissan IDS Concept premiered, bringing the company’s vision for the future of EVs and autonomous driving (AD) to China.
The new Tiida has a dynamic V-Motion grille and safety technologies such as Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW).
An infortainment system with 7-inche audio display is fitted.
It uses a 1.6L HR16DE engine, coupled with the Intelligent Start and Stop system and improved Xtronic CVT, enabling 5.3 litres per 100km fuel consumption.
Meanwhile, the Nissan IDS Concept has a high-capacity 60kWh battery, accommodating long-distance drives of up to 550km.
Advanced technologies, such as Piloted Park through smartphone or tablet and wireless charging, also enable the IDS Concept to be fully autonomous.
